I pray this verse this morning for all the people of Haiti but specifically my heart breaks and laments this prayer for my friend and her two little girls who are trapped inside of Haiti. The two little girls that she has been desperately trying to adopt for four years. These two precious souls were on the brink, literally, of being home right before Christmas when their paperwork was held up by the already bogged down and corrupt system there. Now with this devastating disaster she doesn't know what will happen. However, the one thing she can rest assured in is that the Creator of the Universe does know. He alone can reach down and hold these tiny girls in the palm of His hand and keep them safe and apparently has done so in this terrible earthquake. We don't know all the details yet but they were spared and now sit on the lawn outside their crumbled home with their faithful caretakers waiting..... waiting on the Lord.
