Ahhh!!! Nothing like a snowy Christmas in Nebraska.... hot chocolate, roaring fire, warm blankets, hot soup...... oh, wait!!! You mean sunny beaches and cool drinks by the pool is NOT better than that???? I'm tellen' ya I was born to be a Floridian!! However, the best part of this whole snowy mess is being snowed in with the fam. I love havin' them all here (missing two, of course). And, I further have to admit as I look out my patio window at the stunning Hoopsi Blue Spruce covered perfectly in snow that God did indeed create yet another wonder in snow. Tiny frozen crystals that are lighter than air floating softly.... yada-yada-yada. Anyway. It's been a wonderful week and I'm sorry to see it end. And it does kind of make me pine to live in a far off cabin where we'd be snowed in like this for weeks instead of days.... Yeah, being the loner that I am. That's why I blog (occasionally) instead of Facebook!
We had a further surprise last night when the Sieberts called on their way home from Arkansas and wanted to take refuge at the Vogt Inn since I-80 was still closed. "Of course!", we said. And it worked out perfectly! We had a blast--as always.
Love to all! B
