I told my friend last night that I've decided the real reason it's good that I don't Facebook is because I'd use it as my political platform. And I've purposefully tried to leave those views off of my blog, short as it's life has been. However, I've been pondering whether to keep that stance since our Congress sold us out last week. I'm not sure I can keep completely still. I'm so sad for our nation and for my children. If we cannot get it repealed (which I believe there is a wonderful chance we will) I think it will bankrupt our nation and our children's future and their children as well. I'm sad that we now live with a group of leaders including our President that no longer love America. So without going on and on I guess I'm just really sad.
We were just in Washington, D.C. and I was reminded that I still do love this country and why I still love her. Our Founding Fathers had such a vision. I was just sent an amazing "history lesson" on the dollar bill and what all the symbols mean on the front of it. It's absolutely worth your time to read this! And a great reminder of what this country was founded on and how far we've strayed. God Bless America!

sooo true, mom. i wish we could have grown up in the good days....even though they had their bad moments too. :( just saw on foxnews.com...."Palin to Dems: 'Your Fired'" Gotta love her. :)
ReplyDeleteand one more thing...i'll never forget the one time when I said I hated America (obviously when I was really little..haha) ....wow, was that a bad idea!!!! You did such a good job at raising us to love our nation and all the blessing God has given us by living here. Thank you and I will always instill the same attitude in my children...
ReplyDeleteYOU are a great American!!
